Our partners in recovery have created a resource guide to help pinpoint available programs based on your interests or needs.

Thank you to the Eugene Water & Electric Board, student organizers at McKenzie School, Oregon’s Kitchen Table, and the members of the Oregon Solutions Communications Subcommittee for producing the Guide!

If you experience issues with website links, phone numbers, or emails within the guide, please contact Oregon’s Kitchen Table by phone, 503-725-5248, or email info@oregonskitchentable.org.

Firewood

The McKenzie Firewood Program is a free firewood program for people affected by the Holiday Farm Fire and the local McKenzie River Valley community. The Pure Water Partners (PWP) developed the program as an offshoot of their forest fuels reduction work with landowners. Since December, PWP contractors have been hauling non-merchantable logs to a staging area in Suulutaaq’s log yard in Vida where they are bucked and split. The firewood is available for those in need and can be picked up or delivered to those who are elderly or unable to pick up the wood themselves.

Please refer to the website for more information and instructions on how to receive free firewood: https://www.mckenziewc.org/what-we-do/firewood-program/

Landowners needing help with forest fuels reduction work or have log decks they need hauled away can reach out to the PWP and sign up for an assessment by visiting www.purewaterpartners.org.

Partners include Eugene Water and Electric Board, McKenzie Watershed Council, Upper Willamette Soil and Water Conservation District, Suulutaaq, Brinks Land Management, and private landowners participating in the PWP.
